Route and Accessibility
World Forum Theater is easily accessible with both public transport and car. Plan your route to our theater here. We strive to design our building as well as possible for everyone.
Here is all the information concerning our accessibility (for individuals with a disability).
The Hague can be easily reached from anywhere in the world. The city is located in one of the most accessible regions of Europe and has an excellent direct connection with two international airports and several train stations. Moreover The Hague has environmental friendly public transport that makes it easy to find your way around the city.
Airports
World Forum The Hague is close to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, one of the most important airports of Europe. Daily direct flights leave this airport to over 320 European and Intercontinental destinations. The world literally comes together at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. You can reach The Hague by train within 30 minutes. If you take a car you reach the city within 35 minutes. At the airport you can take a taxi at the official taxi stand.
With our own regional airport Rotterdam The Hague airport your guest have another way of reaching The Hague. This airport also has good connections with more than 40 European city’s, like London, Geneva, Rome, Madrid and Vienna. After arrival it’s only a 30 minute drive to The Hague, with public transport the trips takes 45 minutes.
Route description by Public Transport
From The Hague Central Station (CS):
Take tram no. 16 direction Statenkwartier. You get off at the Statenplein stop. The walk is roughly 9 minutes to World Forum. Check the maps widget below to show the route by foot to World Forum. You can enter Zipcode 2582 EX to check the route.
From The Hague Central Station (CS):
Take bus no. 24 direction Kijkduin. You get off at the Kunstmuseum stop. The walk is roughly 9 minutes to World Forum. Check the maps widget below to show the route by foot to World Forum. You can enter Zipcode 2582 EX to check the route.
From The Hague Hollands Spoor (HS):
Take tram no. 1 direction Scheveningen Noord. You get off at the World Forum stop. The walk is roughly 5 minutes to World Forum. Check the maps widget below to show the route by foot to World Forum. You can enter Zipcode 2582 EX to check the route.
Route description by car
World Forum The Hague is centrally located between the city and the beach and easily accessible by car. World Forum has a parking garage at their disposal and is located directly underneath and next to the theater. The garage has an overhead clearance of maximum 2 meters.
Rates & payment options
The following standard rates apply for the parking garage:
Per hour € 4,00
From the 5th hour € 17,50
Event ticket (max. 12 hours) € 17,50
Day ticket (13-24 hours) € 29,50
Exit cards for the garage are available through the Front Office of World Forum or you can pay at the payment terminals in the parking garage (payment per hour) using your debit card or credit card. Please note that it is not possible to pay with cash. Parking conditions can be downloaded here.
Accessible parking spots
World Forum has access to 3 disabled parking spots outside, at the Churchillplein. You can use these parking spaces for free if you are in possession of a disabled card. You can also use the 4 parking spaces at -1 of our parking garage A. The entrance is located at Churchillplein. Read more about the (wheelchair) accessibility of our theater here.
Charging points
There are three charging points for electrical cars in the parking garage (parking A) of World Forum The Hague. The reimbursement will be paid by the use of a CIR pass, Central Interoperability Register.
Taxi
We have a taxi point in front of our building, together with the taxi companies we are improving air quality.
Route description by bike
World Forum has a number of outdoor cycle racks located near the main entrance. There is no charge to use the cycle racks.
World Forum Theater has the Accessibility & Events warranty. Marianne Dijkshoorn from consultation agency Welcome Accessibility & Events has been involved with the recommendation concerning the accessibility at World Forum The Hague.
Parking
Visitors with a disabled card may use the designated spaces; on showing the disabled card (or a photograph thereof) you will receive a free exit ticket at the Front Office. You cannot reserve these spaces. Garage height: 2.00 m/Size parking spaces: 3.50 m x 2.15 m (length x width).

Kiss & Ride
At the general taxi stand, other people can be dropped off and picked up as well (not only for use by taxi’s).
Public transport
The ‘World Forum’ tram stop is 400 meters away, the stop and route are completely accessible.
Bicycles
World Forum has a number of outdoor cycle racks located near the main entrance. The cycle racks are accessible for all types of bicycles. There is no charge to use the cycle racks.
Wheelchair accessibility
All entrances, meeting halls and lobbies of World Forum are wheelchair accessible. If you need assistance in any way or have a question, please come to the Front Office. They also like to assist you in planning in advance. Review our hall lay-out and wheelchair places in the hall here.
Mobility scooters
Mobility scooters are allowed in the lobbies and meeting halls. The wheelchair spaces in the large hall (King Willem-Alexander) are not suitable for mobility scooters. The large hall has 12 spaces for wheelchairs/assistance devices where the companion can be seated next to this space.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs with an identifying cover and/or handle are welcome in our building.
Disabled bathrooms
World Forum has three modified bathrooms with toilets of 46 centimetres high (first floor and ground floor at coat check).
Calming place
It is possible in our building to visit a stimulant-free place, please let us know in advance at the Front Office.
Closed circuit
Closed circuit is available in our theatre, you can request this at the Front Office.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available at World Forum The Hague and you can request these at the Front Office. Perhaps we can help you plan this in advance?
Catering
Our catering team is always ready to assist and support you (questions/dietary requirements/availability of straws etc.).
Safety
Our Safety & Security department have designed an evacuation plan in the event of an emergency. Please follow the instructions from the World Forum team.
