This event has been organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of World Forum (formerly known as Nederlands Congresgebouw). A big event for the people of The Hague and everyone with a connection to this iconic building. Michiel Middendorf, general manager World Forum The Hague: “Jazz is undoubtedly a part of this event; for more than 30 years, the sound of jazz has filled our building. Many memories were created during these events. We want to give our visitors an amazing experience to remember one more time!”

‘Jazz in the Building’
Exclusively on March 16, visitors get the chance to enjoy jazz once again during the Festival TIJD show between 1pm-2:15pm. The sensational show in the King Willem-Alexander auditorium will be opened by Benjamin Herman, one of the biggest Dutch jazz musicians. Harrison Young will perform his “Tribute to North Sea Jazz” during the show between 1pm-2:15pm. Last year, the American jazz singer and his band blew audiences away on festivals such as “Jazz in de Gracht” and “Nacht van de Kaap”. Together with Paul Quinn (saxon) and Koen Herfst who will also be present on March 16, he recorded a rock & roll album and his “Rock to Jazz” cover show took him all around the globe.

Jazz in the Building (Atlantic room) will be opened at 2:30pm by a music ensemble consisting of both jazz veterans who have experienced the The Hague editions of the North Sea Jazz Festival and young talented musicians who have earned their spot in the wonderful world of jazz. Furthermore, there will be a jam session at 3:30pm. Eric Ineke, Peter Beets, Simon Rigter and many more will join forces during Festival TIJD on March 16, 2019.
