Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) brings IUPAC 2023 to The Hague
Last week Thursday IUPAC delegates voted the 49th World Chemistry Congress to be hosted in The Hague, the Netherlands. The event will take place at the city’s largest convention venue, World Forum The Hague on 20-25 August 2023.
World Forum The Hague is the largest event venue in The Hague. During major events, World Forum can accommodate up to 5.000 people simultaneously. It is important that all these guests receive answers to their questions as quickly and efficiently as possible, therefore World Forum launched the WhatsApp service.
The Hague has become one of the top 50 international congress destinations among European cities, according to the ranking of The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). It is also one of the top 100 most attractive congress cities in the world. This ranking supports the findings of the research published earlier this year by NBTC.
After 20 years ESPEN returns to the Netherlands, this time to The Hague
The Hague has been announced as the upcoming host city for the 39th ESPEN Congress, due to take place in 2017 (9-12 September). The ESPEN Congress is not new to the Netherlands, as congresses were held here in Maastricht in 1981 and in Amsterdam in 1997.
Peak year for international conferences in The Hague
2016 was a successful year for multi-day, international conferences in The Hague. An annual survey carried out by the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC) showed that 135 multi-day international conferences were held in the city. This is an increase of 50% over 2015 and 2014.
Dutch Ministry of Defence to hold Future Force Conference at World Forum
The Dutch Ministry of Defence will hold the international Future Force Conference (FFC) at the World Forum in The Hague on 9 and 10 February 2017. The theme of this conference is ‘From partnerships to ecosystems: combining our efforts for a more secure world.’
UN Public Service Day 2017 conference at World Forum
World Forum will be the venue for the United Nations Public Service Day 2017 to be held in The Hague on 22 and 23 June 2017. During this two-day international conference, the participating countries will explore ways for achieving better public services based on the theme ‘The Future is Now’.
The Hague and Rotterdam win the C&IT “Best Short-Haul Destination” Award
The Hague and Rotterdam were named Best Short-Haul destination by the C&IT magazine at the award ceremony which took place in London. This award is given to destinations that have the best offer, infrastructure and appeal for organizers of corporate and incentive events based in the UK .
